When to go for wildlife safaris
You should schedule your wildlife tours for December – February and June to September. These are Uganda’s driest months of the year. Any months outside those are less recommended. When it rains, roads get muddy causing some vehicles to get stuck. Wildlife also tends to take shelter from the rain, making it hard for tourists to spot them. During dry months, animals roam freely around the parks and mostly around the river banks as they search for water. They can easily be spotted in huge numbers.
